Since human started living life stable with family because of farming and “pashupalan” (Animal husbandry), with main business being farming and the people engaged in this business are known as “farmers”. Farmers have taken responsibility of producing and fulfilling the need of necessary things like grain, cotton, fruits etc. That’s why they are called “father of the world”. India is known as farming country . In India, 2/3 population is engaged in agriculture farming or farming related business. Other industries are also more or less depending on farming and it is the base so we can say that farming provides proportional growth to the development of any nation. Thus, FARMER being backbone, plays a leading role in economy of any nation. If farmer is not capable financially, socially or educationally, then it will directly affect the nation’s economy. They are facing natural calamities and many other problems. To help these farmers nationally, Bharatiya Kisan Sangh was established in 1979.
